260 stranded Pakistanis from Jeddah repatriated by PIA

PIA Two special flights to repatriated 260 Pakistanis stranded in Saudi Arabia departed to Faisalabad from Jeddah International Airport on 18th May, Pakistani Jeddah Consular confirmed.

Pakistan International Airlines special flights to Pakistan during Coronavirus

First flight PK8764 with 130 passengers left at 11:00 am while the second flight PK 8766 with same number of passengers flew at 01:00 pm. Pakistan’s Consul General Shaiq Ahmad Bhutto himself bids farewell to the passengers at Jeddah International Airport.

A large number of Pakistani nationals, mostly on short-term visas, awaiting final exit or medical treatment cases have been waiting to return home from Saudi Arabia since the kingdom suspended international travel due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The Government of Pakistan has initialize special flights in various countries as well as in the Kingdom. First flight flew on 15 March 2020 from Kingdom to Pakistan since the suspension of flight operations in the Saudi Arabia.
