How to Download Digital Iqama or Driving License or Car Registration on Mobile?

The digital iqama, registration and driving license are electronic versions of the actual iqama permit, vehicle registration and driving license in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and can be accessed through the Absher and Tawakkalna applications, and the benefits include convenience, security and easy easy on mobile without showing physical card.

What is Digital Iqama, Car Registration and Driving License Document?

• Digital Iqama: This is the electronic version of your iqama permit. It contains all the information found on the physical Iqama card but in a digital format.
• Digital Istimara: This is the electronic version of your vehicle registration. It provides details about your vehicle, including registration number, expiry date, and owner information.
• Digital Driving License: This is the electronic version of your driver’s license. It includes your personal information, license type, expiration date, and other relevant details.

Prince Bandar Al-Mashari, assistant minister of interior for technical affairs, announced that under the ministry’s digital transformation drive, Saudi citizens and expatriates do not require carrying plastic documents of their national identity, residency permit (iqama), driving license, and vehicle’s registration (istimara).

How to View and Download Digital ID Cards in Absher?

In order to activate the digital documents of your and family member’s iqama under your sponsorship through the Absher Individual, you need to;

1. Download the “Absher” application from Absher Play Store or Absher Apple Store.
2. Log in to the application using your Absher account or Create an account (If you dont have account already).
3. Click on “My Services”.
4. Select “Digital Documents” option.

• Scroll down and click on the “Activate Digital ID” button again.
• You have successfully activated your digital ID card. You can view the ID data electronically through the variable QR code on the application. The beneficiaries can screenshot a copy of the Digital ID on the smart device to take advantage of it without the need to connect to the Internet.

2. Login to your account
3. Select “Dashboard”
4. Click “View Digital Documents” from left side panel.
5. A digital copy of the latest Iqama will be accessible here.
