The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia revealed the worker’s right upon termination of the indefinite contract, noting the need to notify the other party before termination.

A worker in Saudi Arabia is entitled for 30-days full pay Sick Leave

The Ministry of Human Resources said that the work contract may be terminated due to a project and the notice in writing, explaining the other party must be notified before termination of a specified period in the contract, not less than 60 days, if the worker’s salary is paid monthly and not less than 30 days for others.

The Ministry added that if the notice period is not followed, then the affected party is compensated and when the contract is terminated for an unlawful reason, the disturbed party is compensated.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has set a mechanism for reporting companies non-compliance with the deadlines of salaries.

Delaying the payment of salary is a violation of the Labor Law and a report of violations of the Labor Law can be submitted through theĀ unified application of the Ministry of Human ResourcesĀ and Social Development. (Apple Store or Android)
