Saudi Arabia Announced Free Extension for Iqama and Visas

An official source in the Ministry of Interior has announced that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques HRH King Salman approved to extend a number of initiatives related to visas and residence permits for expatriates.

Visas and Iqama Extension for People Of the Kingdom

Saudi Arabia extends the validity of residency permits (iqama) for expatriates inside the Kingdom for a period of three months free of charge The approval or announcement includes the following:

  • Extending the validity of the final exit visa for expatriates, free of charge.
  • Extending the validity of the expired residency permit (iqama) for the expatriates who are outside the Kingdom on an exit/re-entry visa for a period of 3 months, free of charge.
  • Extending the validity of the residence period for expatriates who are inside the Kingdom and arriving on a visit visa, which expires during the period of suspension of entry and exit from the Kingdom, for a period of (3) months without charge.
  • Extending of the length of stay for those with visit visa for 3 months, free of charge.
  • Extending the validity of residency permits (iqama) for expatriates inside the Kingdom for a period of 3 months, free of charge.
