The implementation of the second phase of Saudization in supplies and supermarkets after a grace period of 360 days from the date of publishing the decision on 25th Safar, 1442, as per the procedural guide for the decision to localize supplies and central markets.
The decision to localize supplies and supermarkets includes all supplies whose area is not less than 300 square meters and supermarkets whose area is not less than 500 square meters.

During the first phase, work in sales outlets was restricted by 100% Saudis in professions like customer accountant, accounting fund supervisor, customer service, customer relations, customer trusts and work in sales outlets was restricted to Saudi nationals at 50% of the total staff working in the profession department supervisor.
These decisions was in line from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in order to provide a new stimulating and productive job opportunities for male and female citizens in various regions of the Kingdom, and to raise the level of their participation in the Saudi labor market as per the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
