Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has confirmed that the “Tawakkalna” app on mobile phones is needed for passengers and employees to enter the Kingdom’s domestic and international airports.
Guide to Register on Tawakkalna app without Absher Account
GACA has issued a circular to all airline companies operating in the Kingdom to immediately link passenger flight data to the passenger’s health status on the “Tawakkalna” app and to limit the issue of boarding passes only to passengers whose health status on the app is listed as “immunized” or “COVID-19 infection is not proven.”
The authority also directed that a mechanism must be implemented to contact passengers whose health status does not meet requirements and inform them that their bookings must be canceled via text message. It emphasized the importance of safeguarding travelers’ rights when canceling reservations.
This is to implement precautionary and preventive measures for the Covid-19 pandemic that have been recommended by relevant committees at airports and their facilities.
