UAE Residents can Return back to Country

The United Arab Emirates announced on 18th May that expats with residency stranded abroad due to the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic will be able to return as of 1st June 2020.

UAE residents stuck abroad can return from 1st June

UAE is aiming safe return of residents back to the country. The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship asked any resident with a valid residency permit outside the country is eligible to return.

The Residents will required to register for “Resident Entry Permit” service on the Authority’s website smartservices.ica.gov.ae.

Over 6,500 expatriates have already returned to the UAE under special circumstances since the country allowed residents to return following a period of shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
