Working Hours During Ramadan 2023 for Public & Private Sectors in Saudi Arabia

Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development revealed Ramadan 1444 working hours for the Public and Private Sectors.

Public Sectors (Government)

  • The working hours per day for the public sector are 5 hours.
  • The working hours of the public sector start from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

Private Sectors (Private Company)

  • The working hours per day for the private sector are 6 hours.
  • The working hour of the private sector depends on management of private companies, except when the nature of work requires extra hours of operation.

In the Article 98 of Saudi Labor Law, the Ramadan working hours in Saudi Arabia are the following: 6 Hours a day or 36 hours a week for Muslim employees. 8 Hours a day or 48 hours a week for non-Muslim employees.
