The Kingdom’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced that employees in Saudi Arabia will celebrate a long vacation in April on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
Public Sector Employees
The public sector holidays start from 30th March 2025 and the workers to resume their work from 3rd April 2025.
Private Sector Employees
The private sector 4 days holidays start from 30th March 2025 and the workers to resume their work from 3rd April 2025 because of weekend.
The Ministry highlighted that Article 112 of the Saudi Labor law stating that every worker in both sectors is entitled to get full time leave on holidays on occasions specified by regulations.
According to the second paragraph of Article 24 of the Saudi Labor Law’s executive regulations, the weekly rest must be made up by the equivalent of the days before or after those holidays if weekends and holidays fall on the same day.
