Saudi Arabia bans Medical Staff from wearing tight clothes, hats and makeup during work

Workers at Health facilities in Saudi Arabia have been instructed to follow strict dress code while on duty, according to the local media reports.

Health workers are advised not to wear transparent and tight-skinned clothing or those cloths with slits, the Okaz newspaper reported, citing undisclosed source.

Workers at health facilities also banned from wearing outfits emblazoned with images, inscriptions or emblems violating Islam, displaying hairdos, waring hats, chains and make-up, it added.

Directives have been issued to primary health care managers and hospital department heads to ensure that male and female workers comply with the dressing regulations, the report said.

Health workers are required to sign an associated formal notice for compliance, added the report.
