Saudi Arabian Airlines announced on Wednesday that starting of September 1, only passengers who have received two doses of the covid-19 vaccine will be allowed to travel on domestic flights.

Saudia will allow domestic travel only for fully vaccinated from Sept. 1
There will be exemptions for groups that are not required to take the vaccine, such as children under the age of 12 years or those who have been exempted from taking the vaccine on health grounds by the Kingdom’s concerned health authorities.

The national airline urged passengers to follow all precautionary measures and preventive protocols, as well as the airline’s new directives on coronavirus vaccination.

Saudia said on its official Twitter account that “Dear quests, we would like to draw your attention that it will not be allowed to travel on domestic flights starting from September 1, 2021, except for those who have completed two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, with the exception of groups whom are not obligated to take the vaccine (the age group less than 12 years old), or the excluded health cases according to what is issued by the health authorities in the Kingdom. Therefore, it should be noted for travelers on Saudia to take the necessary measures.”
