How to Request Absher Awdah Service to Travel Home Country

The Saudi Ministry of Interior has announces special arrangements for expats who wish to leave their country during coronavirus situation and have obtained final exit or re-entry visas, but they are unable to travel by air due to the Covid-19. Those who do not have the required visas, they can request it from their sponsors or employers.

Procedure to apply for Awdah service for Expats

The Absher Awdah Service is available for all residents. This includes any visa holders and residents of Saudi Arabia. The application must be submitted via the portal. So here is the step by step procedure on how you can avail this.

Visit the official website or mobile application of Absher (عودة) to login, you will need your absher account for this to use the service. The link for Absher and Awdah

Select Individual if you are using services for yourself or dependents in your account. Here you will need to log in.

Step 1: Navigate to Electronic Service-> Inquiries-> Passports-> Awdah. The icon is a green color plane under public services.

Step 2: Once you click on Awdah, you will see two buttons. New Travel Request and Travel Request Inquiry. Click on New Travel Request if you are requesting.

Step 3: Once you click on New Travel Request Button, you will be asked to fill the following information: Iqama or Border Number, Date Type (Hijri or Gregorian), Birth Date, Mobile Number, and Image code shown on the page.

Step 4: After entering all the information, click on Continue. The application will then be sent for approval. Once approved, you will be notified on the mobile number you provided by text message that includes: Flight date & Ticket number.

Step 5: The beneficiary must then purchase the ticket and go to the airport on the specified date

Step 6: The reservation text message received on your phone from “Absher. is a ‘travel permit” that enables you to go to the airport before the flight date.

What is requirement for Awdah Service?

• The applicant must have a fingerprint registered in the system.
• The applicant must have a valid visa. Check Visa Validy
• The applicant must have a valid passport.
• The applicant must have no felonies or legal fines on their record.
• The destination should be within the countries included in the initiative platform.

Do we need Absher account to avail Awdah Service?

• The service is available through the website of “Absher” platform, and is not available through the application.
• There is no requirement to have an account on “Absher” platform to benefit from the initiative.

Which Airports will Operate these Flights?

The Saudi Ministry of Interior said that the departure would be through the following airports: King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Prince Muhammad International Airport in Madinah, and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.
