An official source at Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has denied recent reports about the timeframe expected for the national carrier to operate flights on schedule as usual, Okaz newspaper reported on Friday.
- The airline has sent mails to the cabin crew members in which the airline requested them to suspend their contracts from this month until the end of the year 2020.
- The Minister of Transport, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Saudi Airlines Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser said it is too early to expect a specific date on resuming flights and lifting restrictions on air transport. He said the efforts are from the Health sector to confront the spread of Corona, The government gives the health sector highest priority in this critical time. - Saudi Arabia has suspended all international flights and the pilgrimages of Umrah and Hajj or the flights to Makkah and Madina, which was a major source of the foreign visitors to the country.
