Ramadan 2020 expected to start on 24 April
According to Al Jarwan, ‘The crescent of the Holy month Ramadan will be on 23rd April 2020 (Thursday), At sunset the crescent will be at a height of 3 degree above the western horizon, It will be there for 20 minutes after sunset. The moon will be visible to human eye during sunset and the fasting of Ramadan to begin from 24th April 2020.
- The fasting hours will be lass than 15 hours this year, The initial days of the Holy Month are to be the shortest for fasting with 14 hours and 25 minutes, while the longest period of fasting will be 14 Hours and 57 minutes during Ramadan last days.
- It is expected that this year Ramadan there would be 30 days of fasting, As the moon will be appear on 22nd May late night, when the Saturday would be fasting day and May 24th 2020 will be the first day of Eid Al Fitr.
- This predicted view is only astronomically, However, we need to wait for crescent citing and the declaration of the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia in order to know the beginning day of the fasting and the Holy Month of Ramadan.
