The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has approved the import and use of the Oxford’s AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine in Kingdom.

SFDA Approves Use of Oxford-AstraZeneca Coronavirus Vaccine

The Health authorities will begin providing the vaccine in all regions of the Kingdom. The approval of vaccine was given based on data shared by the manufacturers and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority will additionally analyze samples from each incoming vaccine shipment before its reach to public.

Other Gulf countries like UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain have already approved the use of the Oxford’s AstraZeneca vaccine including others. Saudi approved the use of Moderna too, in addition to Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
