2 non-Muslim women entered the Prophet’s Masjid courtyards in Madina “by mistake,” according to the General Presidency Agency for the Prophet’s Mosque Affairs.

It refers to a story that went viral on social media on Tuesday, or 7/17/1444 AH (8th Feb 2023), concerning two non-Muslim women entering the Prophet’s Mosque’s courtyards while dressed inappropriately for the holy place.

The Prophet’s Mosque Agency through its official Twitter handle said that it turned out that their entry was by mistake, and as will be shown in what follows, they were made aware of the privacy and sanctity of the Prophet’s Mosque as well as its message.

The authority explained that the two women expressed their understanding of the worker’s instructions and expressed their thanks and appreciation for the good treatment they received.

In order to prevent this from happening again in the future, the Agency of the Prophet’s Mosque stated that it aims to reinforce instructional and guiding methods and procedures that confirm the privacy and sanctity of the holy place.

It also confirms that it is keen to respect the privacy of the Prophet’s Mosque, and to use all available resources for the comfort and assurance of visitors and worshippers, in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership, in partnership with the authorities running the Prophet’s Noble Mosque.
