Saudi Arabia Announced the Banks Working Hours During Ramadan 2023 and Eid Holidays

The Central Bank of Saudi Arabia announced the working hours of banks and money transfer centers during the Ramadan and the Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha holidays for 2023 (1444 AH).

SAMA clarified that banks will operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. while remittance centers will run from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. during the month of Ramadan.

Eid Al-Fitr holidays for banks and remittance centers will start at the end of work on Monday, 17th April 2023 (26th Ramadan 1444) and resume work on Tuesday 25th May 2023 (5th Shawwal 1444).

Eid al-Adha holiday will begin at the end of work on Thursday, 22nd June 2023 (4th Dhu Al-Hijjah) and will resume service work on Wednesday 2nd July 2023 (14th Dhu Al-Hijjah).

The offices of Banks and their seasonal branches in the cities of Hajjaj Air and Sea and the holy sites in Makkah and Madina and at the border crossings will remain open continuously during the Hajj season, including Friday and Saturday in order to serve pilgrims and visitors.

The circular also stipulated the commitment of banks to open a number of their branches, in addition to the number of branches of money transfer centers in populated and crowded areas and places where there is a need, and at airports and various border crossings, to work for certain periods during the holidays.

The Central Bank of Saudi Arabia confirmed that these instructions are based on Article 16 of the Banking Control Law regarding setting bank holidays and working hours.
